At certified-haters.com, we believe that love is at the root of everything – that underneath it all, when you look under the hood of life, the engine you’ll see running is made purely out of love. As consummate nerds, we wanted to find a way to represent that idea in a simple, yet creative way using mathematical notation.

For my fellow nerds, we beg your creative latitude. We acknowledge that strictly speaking the design appears to read: “The Lth root of 0 is identical to a heart” Yes, the O and V are swapped, but the human brain is very good at using context to figure things out.

Naturally, you might wonder why zero would be used to represent the concept of everything. We can look at it in a couple of ways:

  • Firstly, if the universe is infinite and everything everywhere is contained within our universe, then we can use the infinity symbol ( ∞ )to represent everything. If we fold the infinity symbol in on itself to represent the cyclical nature of the universe, the resulting figure would look a lot like zero, thereby making it a useful representation.
  • Secondly, if we consider zero to be a circle, which has no beginning and no end and an infinite number of points within its boundary – it would be a lot like our universe.

Is the design nerdy and cheesy? Absolutely. That’s why we love it. And we hope you’ll love it too.

  • A structured 6-panel mid-profile trucker hat constructed from 60% Cotton & 40% Polyester with a 3.5″ crown, mesh back, and adjustable plastic closure with 3D Puff Embroidery to give the design depth.
  • The hat features a Permacurv® visor that lets you to flatten or curve the visor exactly how you like it without worrying that it will become creased or misshaped. This ensures that the fit of the crown remains consistent regardless of how you shape the visor.
  • The front panels are made of hard buckram, a stiff cotton cloth that gives the hat its structure.
  • Suitable for a head circumference of 21 5/8″–235/8″ (54.9 cm–60 cm)
  • Equivalent to a range of 67/8 – 71/2 in fitted hats
